College and requried Tests (SAT subject tests)?
In order to apply to certain colleges they want you to have taken certain tests such as the SAT subject tests in two different areas— can you still send in your application now (September) without having taken the test? (But I will in November– can I just send them in later? I know for the ACT if you’re retaking it, your counselor can just send in what you go the second time) What if you later decide to take the SAT in October but missed the deadline, is there some sort of standby thing to be able to take the test?
Thank you all in advance for your help! i really appreciate it!

You can send your application in now and have your scores sent to the schools when they come in. You application comes to a college in stages as it is….they build your complete file as they obtain the necessary pieces such as recommendations from your schools, test scores, transcripts etc.
As for missing the deadline for the test I’m pretty sure that you can show up the morning of as a “standby.” If they have enough tests and space for everyone, they will let you take the test for an extra fee. Talk to your academic counselor to see if this would work for you.
