Can someone help me with my Math Placement test?

Its for my college here is the link for the placement test:

http://www.cic-totalcare.com/2/english/admissn.html

You have to click ‘Sample Placement Test’ then Math placement test, scroll to the bottom and press ‘proceed to test’.

I know its easy but its been a little while since I did this stuff and I’ve forgotten it all… I just need a walkthrough for the problems..

thanks in advance!

A. Calculate the following:

-5 – (3)(-2) = -5 + 6 = 1

7/12 + 2/3 – 1/4 = 7/12 + 8/12 – 3/12 = 12/12 = 1

14 5/6 – (-7 2/3) = 89/6 + 23/3 = 89/6 + 46/6 = 135/6 = 45/2

3(-2) – 5(-3) – (-2)^3 = -6 + 15 + 8 = 17

3.5 – 0.05(2) +14.2 / 0.2 = 3.5 – 0.1 + 71 = 74.4

[sqrt(169)-sqrt(64)]/[2sqrt(25)] = (13 – 8) / (2*5) = 5/10 = .5

|5| x |-2| – |-8| = 10 – 8 = 2

B. Evaluate each of the following if x = -3 and y = 2:

3x^2 – 2y^3 = 3(-3)^2 – 2(2)^3 = 27 – 12 = 15

x^3 – xy – 3 = (-3)^3 – (-3)(2) – 3 = 27 + 6 -3 = 30

C. Find:

N if 40% of N is 16

.4N=16

N=16/.4 = 40

D. Solve:

7x – 3 – 2x = 2(x+3)

7x – 3 – 2x = 2x+ 6

5x – 3 = 2x+ 6

3x = 9

x=3

E. Simplify the following:

(4x – 2y)^2

(3/2x + 3)(1/2x – 3)

F. Solve:

2x – 4 < 5x + 8 G. Factor the following completely: 12a^5 - 18a^4 - 6a^3 3(2x - 1) - 4y (2x - 1) H. Solve the system below: 3x - 2y = 7 5x + 2y = 1 I. Simplify and state restrictions: x cannot equal 2, 3, -3 [(5x^2 - 10x)/(x^2 - 5x + 6)] / [(2x^2 + 6x)/(x^2-9)] =[(5x(x - 2))/((x-2)(x-3))] * [(x-3)(x+3)/(2x(x + 3))] =[(5x)/(x-3)] * [(x-3)/(2x)] =(5x)/(2x) = 5/2 J. Solve for x, x || 0, x || -3: (3x-4)/x - (x+1)/(x+3) = 2 [(3x-4)(x+3)]/[x(x+3)] - [(x+1)x]/[x(x+3)] = 2 [(3x-4)(x+3)-(x+1)x]/[x(x+3)] = 2 (3x-4)(x+3)-(x+1)x = 2x(x+3) = 2x^2 + 6x 3x^2+ 5x - 12 -x^2 - x = 2x^2 + 6x 4x - 12 = 6x -12 = 2x x = -6 K. Find: the length and the slope of the line segment connecting A(3, 5) and B(-3, 4) length = sqrt[6^2 + 1] = sqrt(37) Slope = (4-5)/(-3 - 3) = 1/6 L.
