Can i enter the PSAT?
Can i do the PSAT test when im in 9th grade? and will it count?

You can take the PSAT and the SAT in any grade and at any age. However, seeing as you are very late for the registration deadline for the PSAT, you don’t have to worry about taking it this year. The PSAT is administered once a year in October, this year it is on October 17th, Wednesday.

I think you have to be atleast a sophomore to take the PSAT…at my school, any way. And as for it counting, the PSAT is just a practice test for the SAT, so it doesn’t really “count” for anything…except for the test-taking experience. It’s a lot like the SAT, so it gets you better prepared for it. 🙂 I wouldn’t worry about trying to take the PSAT this year, if I were you.

Psat is a preperation. u can take it but u have to pay some green. it will stay in ur permanent records but it wont “officially count’ and yes u can take it, i took it in 9th grade too.

well in my school you definitely could… b/c i did… haha. from the others’ answers, tho, maybe some schools limit it???? altho i see no sense in that whatsoever, b/c it’s an extra chance for students to practice and do well, so i see no reason why schools would exclude freshmen…
no, it doesn’t count, tho… but yeah it’s really good to get practice. i took it 9th, 10th, and 11th grade. but uhh if you’re a freshmen this year, it might be kinda late to sign up…. isn’t hte test like… 10 hours ago? or next week or something? lol iono. talk to your counselor if that’s the case.
yeah it’s like $15 for most cases. but worth it! 😀 good luck!

It is only open to Juniors in high school, I believe that’s 11th grade. It’s just like an SAT, grading is the same, except instead of being out of 2400, it is out of 240, with each test being worth 80 points.

at my school you have to be a sophmore.
it doesnt count because its a preactise.
thats why it is Psat.
the regualr sat’s count as you know.
