Hi,

The IEP is called Individualized Educational Program and, there are teachers, therapists and Psychologists involved in the students life during school. The purpose of this is to make sure that the goals implemented are correct which should meet that students needs educationally. You may want to surf a web-site that will have many answers to your questions.

good luck

An IEP is an Individual Education Plan….its a legal document that states what goals and objectives a specific student is working towards during a year. It is reviewed annually. An IEP team is made up of a LEA (usually a principal), special ed teacher, regular ed teacher and parent. Sometimes their are parent advicts also.

IEP stands for individualized education plan. It’s for kids with special needs, such as those with dyslexia. Generally the childs parent, teachers, and a representative from the school district. A educator that specializes in special needs is often in attendance as well.

P.S. ASL does rock! Going for my interpreters certificate!

IEP stands for Individual Education Plan, which outlines targets and necessary support for students with special needs/disabilities. If you don’t know what it is I’m guessing you don’t have one.
