Basically, you are who you hang around with. If the majority of your company (friends, coworkers, etc) are good, quality people, than it can be assumed that you are too.

It means just because a person seems nice or honest doesn’t necessarily make it so. Look at who they hang with. An honest person isn’t going to find anything in common with an habitual liar.

It means that what ever kind of person you are, you will surround yourself with people who are like you. So you know the saying “if you want to know somebody, get to know their friends”. Same principle here. If you hang out with intelligent people, odds are you are intelligent. So forth and so on.
