I need help writing an equation? in standard form……?

The problem is : Write the equation of a line that passes throught the points (3,5) and (3,2) ………..I know I have to use the formula M= y2-y1/ x2-x1 but I just really dont understand this and my homework is due tommorow …HELP PLEASE!!!!

When you do what you said, which would be (2 – 5)/(3 – 3) you get the slope. But this has zero in the bottom which means the slope is undefined and the line goes straight up (is vertical). Vertical lines have a different equation than others since they have no y-intercept. Their equation is x = something. Here x = 3 for both points so the equation is x = 3

you plug in 5 for y2, and 2 for y1. and plug in each 3 for each of the x’s. cuz the second number of each point is the y and the first is the x. and then solve it, which is 5-2/3-3 which equals 3/0=undefined. so there is no equation and the line is vertical.
