Removing all the details from a story that aren’t completely necessary is the way to create uncertainty in a story. The reader has to use their imagination to replace the detail you’ve removed. Uncertainty in a story – where it could mean any one of several things, depending on how you imagine the details – is the key to the meaning of a story.
That’s what I got from it, anyway, but it reads like it’s been put through a bad translation engine. It doesn’t really make much sense at all.
Hope that makes some sense.
Overall, when reading pay close attention to what is being said and dont worry about all the extra wording such as all the adjectives and descriptive metaphors, etc.. so this information is what the reader is thinking about (the importan info). Ambiguity is the unclear stuff added to writings such as th detail descriptions that are painting a picture for the reader.
Basically, the quote is ambiguous itself. Its kind of irony because it contains the things that they tell you not to pay attention to and read.
I hope this helps and I hope I explained it good enough.
