Finding yourself in a situation which presents a great challenge to you physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually will cause you to respond in a manner which will allow you to overcome the situation, or to be overcome by it. If you gather your strength to battle this challenge, whatever it is, and are able to win out over that challenge, you will have become a stronger, more resilient person, and will be prepared then to take on more and greater challenges. You have been made stronger by facing up to those things which threaten you, and fighting them until you have emerged champion over them. This sort of on-going personal growth is what separates the men from the boys, so to speak.

Surely you have seen people–men and women–who seem to never grow up, who always are dependent on someone else to take care of them and their problems. These poor souls have one of 2 problems–they are actually defective in some way, or they were simply never forceful enough to face life and deal with it, overcoming obstacles as they met them. Dependency becomes a way of life for them, sadly.

“what don’t kill me”

“what” in this case means a temptation. if we didn’t make it through a temptation, that means we lose and it is exaggerated in this phrase>>kill = dead = losing.

stronger may means that you’ll be a better person.

in the other words>>

“any temptation that i can go through will only make me a better person”

Pretty much if you do something really hard and you lived through it, you will be able to endure worse in the future.
