Why don’t you select a language that will be most useful to you in life (and subsequent education) rather than one that is suggested as easiest to learn by YA respondents.

The easiest language for you is the one that you’re most interested in. You will not learn enough in a year of college language study, even though it is equivalent to about 4 years of high school language. You therefore should learn to learn on your own, and not waste the work you’ve put in by that time.. I have a BA in linguistics, did graduate work, and worked in other fields. There’s little sense in learning something that you will never use and I do use my extra languages.

Italian or Spanish. Both have nearly 1500 words that are the same in English (apart from pronunciation) Italian is a joy to speak and the stress for pronunciation is almost always placed on the same syllable. Just lean to roll your ‘R’s’

spanish is pretty easy…for me-for some people certain languages are easier for some reason. Once you know spanish, french is easy and vice versa. I would take spanish or french- whichever is more useful where you live.

i had a choice of Spanish and French, i took French since i think spanish is a dirty language. and it is just as easy, alot of the words are very similar.
