mla format on citing quotes?

I want to use the quote “natural abilities are like natural plants: they need pruning by study” by Francis Bacon as the opening line for my essay. Whats the proper way to cite this quote. Thanks

placed a subscript after the quote with the quotation quantity on it. Annotate it into your bibliography. to place it into your bibliography, you do it in numerical order purely like common. as an occasion: a million) on the beginning of Species 2) Albert Einstein 9-31-1912 3) Harry potter

I think that just mentioning his name at the bottom is enough, of course by putting it in the parenthesis, or by writing this way:

As Francis Bacon says “………”, …..

and then continue it your way,
