Is this a good quote?

Do you believe the below quote or statement is true?

Personally I don’t think a pessimist would neccessarily fear that to be true. Tell me what you think and your views on the quote.

Peace.

“The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds, and the pessimist fears this is true.”

I like this quote. It means that optimists are happy with what we have while the pessimists hope that there is more. Pessimists dont view the world as perfect. Therefore, they’re scared that “it’s true” because they are scared that this is the most there is and nothing can improve anymore. Basically, pessimists are unsatisfied

The quote means that an optimist would think that this is a wonderful world. However, a pessimist thinks that if this world’s situation is the best that any world can aspire to, when it could be so much better, then this being the ‘best’ is a pretty bad thing.

I find truth in this particular quote.

it doesn’t mean fear as in afraid, but to consider probable; or to expect that the saying is true.

I think it’s pretty accurate
