I was in the same boat a few years ago, but found that once you enroll in a degree program, the school will do whatever it can to keep you going. In addition to the scholarships you mentioned and other assistance (which your school should help you get), you could also do student loans. You say you have poor credit but I did also, and yet was still able to get student loans. I assume they must be easier to get. Just remember one thing – you must pay them back. I am now finished with my degree but in debt up to my eyeballs and at 38 (yes, I went to school late), I am no longer sure the degree was worth it. I went full-time and started at 34, and now am paying over $600 per month in loans and will be for many many years to come. It’s depressing. If you are young enough that a degree can still make a good difference for your life, then do whatever you can to get it. As far as loans, Sallie Mae is the big one. Best of luck!

Dear JC ,

You decided or at least you are thinking of going – returning back to school.Congratulations! You have made the first step and believe me the first step is always hard to make.

If you really want to go to school I know you will make it.
