Why are teachers demanding -soo- much work from kids?
Math: a wkst, front and back
English: This packet on a short story we read… other people have already dont the packet and they said it has taken them 3-4 hours to do. And i have 20 vocab words to memorize… we have 20 wever week
Latin: Write out or vocab words 4 times… this week we have 10. and start a project that has a time minimum of 7hours
History: fill out a map and read and summarize a chapter in our book
Science: Start a project
I mean come on… i have other things i wish to do on my weekends. I know people say space them and and do them the night we get the asinement,… i do tha and well, dosent help too much =(

First of all, you spelling should improve.
Second, a worksheet for math front and back–that is approximately 20 or 30 minutes.
Third, a short story in English 9 is approximately 12 pages at the most. A packet is probably three or four pages long, so that will require some dedication, but I’m sure someone in honors can keep up.
Fourth, 20 vocabulary words a week, rather that’s four a day. You can do it.
Fifth, you’re probably not learning Latin, you’re learning Latin roots. I might be wrong though.
Keep up the good work. It all pays off in the end. Remember, friends will leave, Myspace becomes a thing of the pass, and there’s always a newer cell phone to talk with friends just around the corner.
There was a lot of emphasis on written work – and there were no computers then. It was all done by hand.
Today, a lot of time is wasted in class – some kids I know do most of their homework in class while they are waiting for the class to finish doing whatever work they have been assigned. Use spare time – and yes, you do have gaps in the day when you could work on your homework.
RIght now, your job is school. If you have to put in overtime to get through it, that’s just one of the demands of the job. It only lasts for 12 years. If you go to university after you graduate from high school, that’s a whole different ball game. The days are structured differently, the classes are held on a different timetable. So for now, just buckle down and get through it.
and latin. that just sucks. I mean i kinda like latin and stuff, but that class can be awful sometimes lol.
Second…you are taking honors classes. Don’t brag-*****. It makes you look shallow. Ohh boohoo you are smart and stressed.
Third: Your teachers are demanding because life is demanding for people who are in honors classes.
Fourth: Teachers probably are bitches…but you still have to do the work, regardless. Pace yourself and appreciate that as an honors student…you have to do the work to earn the props.
You’ll be mad when you get to college and realize that honors classes don’t make a difference. I aced AP English and AP History in high school and still had to take all the same college courses as everyone else.
its all like bs, i dont even care about school that much anymore, ill be happy to even pass, then waste my free time on memorizing some bs. ima chill through high school, and just get a job in entertainment or something that doesnt require college. so yeah teachers are a bunch of douche bags. i agree that they failed at life, and most of them are on their periods. i mean you gotta admit they failed in life, some 40 year old is either a teacher (failer) or a millionaire (successer). so theyre next to nothing hobos that need to give us a break. although i like substitute teachers, theyre cool when they dont give a damn
