Talk to child’s teacher or the Head to find out what is really going on.

Remember that the school cannot give details, but should be able to tell if there is nothing to worry about or if the matter is under investigation.

In the unlikely even you don’t get an answer then try the Chair Of Governors.

Schools do take these matters most seriously and investigate thoroughly.

If it quite possible that nothing has happened but an aggrieved parent is stirring things up.

If there is no danger in the school then what are they protesting over? Kids will be kids, sometimes parents can go over board in the attempt to make things look worse than they are. There have been kids charged for kissing another student, is this sexual? Probably not. Is it a reason to over react, most likely. If no one is willing to discuss this, then there is either a case pending, or nothing behind the claims. I would not be overly worried, after all school is just starting and this is probably about something that happened during summer break, and if there is no police action, there could be good reasons behind the inaction.

Talk to your child’s teacher or the principal. If they do not answer to your satisfaction, contact the school board and insist on the details of what happened. Let them know that you want to be sure your child will be safe at all times.

I remember something that happened to a student when I was in 6th grade (back in 1973!!). Everybody whispered about it but still gave each other the details that they could find. I can’t say what it was here. The school did nothing. The girl that offended actually stayed in school!! I was terrified of her myself. And the other girl who was the victim (of a sexual assault in my adult opinion) never returned to the school again. We need to be as aware as possible of what goes on in our children’s schools. Good luck.

Contact the local school board, they are required by law to notify parents of any dangers in the school system

Talk to your child’s teacher. I bet they have had a teacher’s meeting over it by now, especially with the protests.
