Who thinks our country has a bad Public School system?
Kids have 7 hours of school, then do 3-7 hours of homework, kids either be stressed out or not do it.
Kids just talk about is suiside, drugs, alcahol, sex and racism.
The kids their so immature, they picked on the people who is a “nerd”.
The teacher don’t give a damn about their job, its the stupid no child left behind thing.
They need an upgrade on their books, their backpack is so huge & heavy.
Their just kids, they need to grow, and learn, let them be kids for a while.
How can we compete the kids from different country if we don’t get organize and make the kids decent people.

Note:: less time in school??? My grandsons in Colorado go 11 months out of the year and has nothing to do with a better education at all…………In Colombia, South America, kids finish High school at the age of 16, then go on to university, college or trade school,,,My step son is now 24 yrs of age and very succesful in TV Programing….in Colombia, they wear uniforms, not coke machines in school, the kids take education very seriously and the proof is in the high number of well educated people in the country…
My son is 7 years old, and I am currently homeschooling him. At our neighborhood school, only about 26% of the children are passing the standardized tests. Previously my son was enrolled in one of our city’s magnet schools, and only about 66% of the children were passing the standardized tests. Most parents refer to this school as a “good” school as opposed to the regular neighborhood schools. I beg to differ though; a school in which 34% of the children are not at grade level is not a “good” school.
Teachers tend to teach to the test to try to keep up with the “No Child Left Behind” requirements. This leaves little room for creative teaching and stress free learning.
If you can’t send your child to a decent private school, homeschooling is an option. Homeschooled children tend not to succumb to peer pressure, drugs, alcohol, etc.
The truth is that many of our children cannot compete with children from other countries, because many of our children graduate from high school and are illiterate. Unfortunately, America is not first place in education, and we really should be. This is a rich, free country filled with opportunity. However, education does not begin at school. It begins at home, and parents must take responsbility to assure that their children receive a good education–by any means necessary.
