I’m going into Eighth grade and I use a Buffet E-11.

Any Buffet Is good. The beginner models [[In my state at least]]

Are the B-12 and the E-11.

Once (and if) she gets really good, once she’s in high school you might want to upgrade to a Buffet R-13.

Hope I helped.

I’d guess either Conn or Yamaha. Those are the two most popular starter brands.

Unless you’re talking key, then it’s the standard Bb Clarinet. Not the Alto, Bass or Eb Clarinet.

Artley, Vito, Selmer, Conn, and Yamaha are probably the most widely recognized brands for beginning clarinets. If your daughter takes clarinet seriously I would suggest getting her a Buffet or LeBlanc clarinet.

Yamaha is probably the most common. most people play clarinets in B flat.

Most manufacturers have what’s called a “student” model– not too expensive, not too fancy, but functional.

What you don’t want to get is an ultra-cheap instrument from Wal-mart or one of the shilling-for-china vendors on ebay. You can make an instrument that is reeeeally inexpensive if it doesn’t bother you to make absolute crap.
