I would recommend December or March of your junior year. This gives you the option to retake it in March or June if you want to raise your score. Also this gives you plenty of test dates for SAT II’s either in June or in the fall of your senior year.

You generally take it in June after your junior year of high school. You might want to take it twice, so you could think about taking it in the spring and then again in June. Most colleges look favorably on taking the test again if you did not get a good score the first time. Be sure you take a prep course of some sort and PRACTICE the test. Good luck!

SAT reasoning test is best when taken in June of your junior year. If you didn’t do so well, you should take it again in November. I’m not suggesting October because many people take SAT prep classes over the summer and take it in October, so it will be harder to get a good score.
