What can you do to make 35,000 and up a year w/ out a degree?
Favorite Answer
Find something you love to do and excell at it. Luck is also a big factor. I started working at a ship chandler (a company that supplies vessels with merchandise they need) when I was 21, making a meeger salary. I’m 34 now and I’ve taken advantage of all the knowledge I aquired thoughout the years and have changed positions with different companies (for a lot more money). I’m now an Export Manager for a huge company and make more moeny than my sister who has a college degree.
Like I said, it takes time, dedication, and some luck but if you’re driven enough you can do it. By the way, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get a degree. I’m starting college in the fall and hope to get my degree in International business.
Good Luck
1. Start your own business – or begin one with someone else you trust who does have a degree, this will open doors and allow you to get an edge in the local market
2. Construction – hard work but good money (and you wouldn’t ever have to go to the gym or tanner again)
3. Join the military – they will accept those with high school diploma and you can move up fast and gain respect without a degree. They will teach you life skills and make it possible to find a job without a degree… plus you would get paid for it!
Another good one is to become a train driver, they can easily earn £40k a year, depends where u wanna go really.
Another good bet is to look for training positions in large companies, but u have to have good overall skills, like excellent communication and management skills.
People who are savvy, driven to succeed, and work hard make a lot of money. It just turns out that a lot of those people go to college, and a lot of sluggy-type people don’t bother to go to college, so it’s misleading. It looks like the college is responsible for the success, when really it’s the hard-nosed individuals.
I would suggest that you find something you’re interested in, and go into business for yourself. Maybe start by working for someone else in that field to learn the ropes for awhile, and then strike out into business for yourself. If you’re working for someone else, you always have limits to the money you can make. If you work for yourself, there are no limits.
