–You’ll take school more seriously, because much less of it will be about social development, meeting guys, making friends, etc.
–Your grades will be better.
–Your professors will no longer intimidate you.
–You will intimidate some professors and teaching assistants.
–The degree can get you a better job.
–The degree shows potential employers you’re self-directed and ambitious–and those traits can get you a better job even if the degree doesn’t really apply to the job.
–You can get up early without it killing you.
–Arriving on campus early means you get a parking place.
–Professors may treat you more like an equal and less like a big kid.
The cons? Hmm…
–The cute guys will all be too young for you.
–You may feel old, fat, or unattractive, even though in the real world you’re most certainly not.
–Doing homework when “House” is on will suck.
–There will be many times when school interferes with your personal or your household’s routines.
You can do this–and I hope you will!
You will be improving your standard of living. You will be bettering yourself and learning new things every day. You will feel better about yourself and will be a great example to your kids if you have any. Your maturity will make it easier for you to concentrate and make better grades than some of your younger classmates.
Con:? Can’t think of any rather than a lack of free time – but then again, who ever thinks they have enough anyway!
