We have a new busdriver at school. HELP!!!!!?

Ok. The same bus driver has been driving this route since my brother was in kindergarden (he’s 22 now) at least. we have a new one now she is a psyco. She has taken away the radio, talking, listening to iPods, and playing any GameBoys or Nintendos for three weeks now. One more thing: the principal is on her side. all of the kids on the bus want a new driver. got any ideas?

Is there a bus policy for your school district? Did the bus policy change? If the bus policy changed without any notice, you can take it with the school district.

You can argue that when she stops you from talking, she is violating your freedom of speech. You are not on school grounds or a classroom. You are on a huge moving vechile with nothing to do.

Have all the kids on your bus get a note from their parents allowing them to have talking and electronic devices. Having many parents involved with this is one of the best things to do.

I wish you a lot of luck with this. I know what having a principal who sticks up for the staff and not the students (who should be the main priority) is like.

There are reasons for everything. So, come on. What’s been going on while all you lovelies are riding the bus? Of course you guys point to the bus driver because your toys have been taken away for three weeks.

Play right you get bright. Play wrong you go down. What do you what me to say. Sounds like maybe you people haven’t been playing by the rules. Has it ever accurd to any one of you that just maybe you drove the bus driver “psyco.”

Don’t want to “blame” anyone for anything, but have had a few experiences of my own through the years. There are a few drivers out there that just close their eyes and ears so they don’t have to be bothered dealing with all the crazy crap that goes on while trying to get you people home in one piece.

Now the tables have turned. What I hear is “bus driver took my toy away and won’t give it back” so we want a new driver.

Think it’s time you all grow up and behave your selves and maybe you’ll get your toys back. At least until the next time if you haven’t wised up by then.

Like the kinder’s are told, no toys at school. Do the rules change from there?

That’s all I’m going to say on the subject. It’s up to you guys what your next move will be. You could always (good God) walk to school! If you want a “psyco” for a bus driver, keep up the good work. Have a good/happy time riding the bus.

You do know of course that all of you can turn things around don’t you?

Obviously the priveliges on the bus were revoked for a reason. Did she state why she was taking the priveliges away? If not, did anyone else bother to ask? I know that some bus drivers dislike the radio on because they find it a distraction. I know that some school districts have no IPod or electronic device policies on their school buses but many times they are not adhered to unless that one stickler for the rules of a bus driver comes along. If the principal is on her side, it really sounds like something happened on the bus route to make her inforce the rules that she has. Spend your time on the bus reading a book, doing school work, or sitting quietly. Have a talk (when you are not on the bus) with other bus riders and encourage them to do the same. If you can demonstrate collective good behavior, she may reinstate the priveliges she has taken away.

Could it be perhaps that she just seems psycho to you because she is trying to inforce existing rules that the old bus driver did not? I know when you get an awesome bus driver for awhile and then they leave, it becomes difficult to adjust

How about behave and read a book? What a novel idea! Bad pun intended!

ps Being on a school bus is the same as being in class. The same rules apply. You are in school owned transportation. The same rules would apply if you were in a bus for a field trip. *sound of your bubble bursting* POP!
