just don’t freak out over any overheard conversations that may be something you find as extremely disturbing…that’s highschoolers for you. =P

DON’T get in the middle of someones drama trying to “Help out” because you’ll get pulled far far far in it. Unless it pertains to you ..try to avoid it.

there are going to be nasty/mean people. that’s just part of dealing with highschool. don’t let it bother you. it’ll pass.

mostly. just have fun! be yourself! it’ll be a little intimidating at first and some of the upperclassmen try to feed off of that. don’t let it get to ya. they’ll be a fun four years if you just relax.

high school will be some of the best years, but don’t be nervous. everybody went through the same anxieties you’re going through now. don’t stop in the middle of the hallway to look at a map, step to the side or you’ll get shoved really hard. don’t look at the ground when you walk, cause that shows you have no confidence in yourself and it gives everyone else a big hint that you’re a freshman. talk to your friends and figure out who has the same lunch as you, and decide a meeting place so you don’t walk into the cafeteria and don’t know who to sit with (trust me it’s intimidating!). Most importantly, do all your homework, because honestly, every year counts. It may seem really hard at first, but just get organized and you’ll be able to get that high GPA. Good luck!

well, my graduating class was over 1000 students, so there was always someone new to meet. in that case id say just be yourself. the upperclassmen didnt even seem to notice us freshman. i do remember always being the dork that would dress up all nice on the first day, do my hair, etc and by the end of the week was back to normal. yeah, dont dress special. dress how you will every other day. now we live in a teeny tiny town where the graduating class is like 12-15 students. so when you are a freshman you are still in the same school as always with the same people. no need to do anything different, no new people to meet. so id have no advice for you if you are in a small town.

Do not get caught up with the wrong crowd. Get good grades and go to college so you dont and up breaking your back for a wage that does not even cover your basic needs.

im a junior in highschool,stay out of the way of upperclassmen,dont ask us where your next class is becuase we will send you the total opposite way ask a teacher, dont stop in the hallway and make out with people because you will get SHOVED out of the way and if u want to talk with friends go to the side of the hall and not the middle, im just feeling nice and letting you know

choose your friends wisely, and don’t get caught up in social games. Don’t be afraid to hang out with geeks and nerds. In fact, those are the people you WANT to hang out with.

Don’t do drugs.

Don’t have sex.

Concentrate on your schoolwork.

dont act like a tuff guy buit also dont let them push u around. try 2 get to know the school fast. if u need help ask a teacher. oh and dont date ur lab partner cause then u’ll fail. good luck

Don’t go trying to fit in. Be yourself and let them invite you or come to you. If you try to weasel into a group you won’t be excepted.

Read a lot

Skip a lot

Get good grades

don’t try to be “cool” you’ll end up looking like a dork, and get to know the way to your classes
