High school senior class schedule?

hi.i am goign to be a senior upcoming september

and i was really dissatisfied with the classes they gave me..

and i heard the explanations and i am about to make some decisions….

1. I have Japanese 3 in my schedule available only in 5th period, but i would like to take AP chem at the same time…. but AP chem is only available in 5th period. To be i think it would be way better to take AP chem over Japanese 3.. but my counselor said, “J3 is strongly recommended i would prefer J3 over Ap chem.” i was very confused.

i asked some people around me, and gave me the same opinion as me… do you guys think so too???

2. is it ok to take Japanese in C.C. and put it in the application for Colleges and they will assume that i have taken 3 years of language?

3. AP chem.. i havent take regular chem but i knew many people who havent taken reg. chem and still did a decent job. is it really hard to do without taking reg. chem??? i really need many ap as possible and will work hard. t

I would listen to my counselors, if they didn’t give you a good enough reason..then ask for one.

AP Classes are difficult, personally..I didn’t do well in PAP Chemistry, so I don’t think it would be a good idea for you do AP Chem. without experience. You have to pass the AP test, and it could look bad if you don’t on a college app.

I recommend you take Japanese 3

Take the regular Chem and do very well (get an A).

An “A” in regular Chem PLUS having Japanese 3 will look better on a college application than getting a C or B (and/or a mediocre AP test score) in AP Chem

Typically (and unfortunately for you) schools don’t allow you to change your schedule so close to the first day. Chances are: you’re stuck with all of those AP classes. Good luck!!

Why don’t you take both? Go take one class online and one in school. If that doesn’t work heres what you do. Have some checker pieces out. Black for Jap3 and Red For ChemAP. Think about all the good points and just stack them up who ever has the most wins. It mostly depends on what you want and what you want to do after high school. If you want something that involves a foreign language I suggest Jap3 if not ChemAP all the way since it works great with any career
