There are some administrators in my high school that are trying to recruit me to MIT. Should I go?

During my Engeneering class, some of my classmates and I were handed appointment cards to attend a conference about attending MIT in Mass. Do you think I should go?

You should go. MIT is a great school for engineering. You must be a very good student.

You, of course, do not have to enroll in MIT, but finding out information now about the school may be helpful in making your application decisions.

I would suggest, that if possible, that your parents and you visit the schools that interest you. Do not just take the planned tours but also speak to students. Do not just speak to students who may be escorting you but to others as well.

Visit at least three schools before you make a final decision . Always check the schools accreditation and what degree you will earn. Remember private schools cost much more. Are the units transferable in case you want to earn a higher degree. Don’t over pay for an education. Community colleges normally have the same instructors. Why pay 300+ per unit for private and you could pay 20+ per unit for a community college?
