Question for high school students?

I just saw the movie Superbad recently and I was wondering if parties like that go on all the time now in high school?

My younger brother is in high school right now, but he claims that these parties don’t exist. Somehow I don’t believe him. Can someone set the record straight?

I don’t mind if he goes to these parties…I’m just curious how often they occur.

No one has parties like that in high school because they don’t have the money for all that and they don’t have a house to trash. Get real here… One kid’s parents leave and trust him alone in the house for the weekend. If that kid invites all his friends over and trash the place, when his parents come home, HE’LL be the one in trouble. I HOPE no kid is dumb enough to do that….

Well at my school, these “Superbad-like” parties are an EXTREMELY rare occurance. People have lots of parties, yes…but nothing like Superbad. When people do have parties, it’s not a school wide event, maybe a group of friends, and the party doesn’t depend on the alcohol getting there to have a good time either.

So, I think Superbad is just an extreme view of high school party life.
