Question for high school sports?

i am about to be a junior in high school and i have played tennis for the past two years. But I am thinking about running track for the last two years of high school. I heard that colleges like to see consistency in choosing students. So should i stick with tennis or go for track?

Colleges would rather see you excel in a sport, regarldess of how long you’ve done it.

I would go ahead and try out for track. Have fun!

As long as you keep the grades up and do well one the ACT/SAT, any college will be happy to have you.

Sometimes you’ll even be able to use BOTH experiences in tennie AND track to get some wicked awesome scholarships.

It depends if you’re trying to get into a college on an athletic scholarship in track, which i don’t think you are as long as you play sports they’ll like it. Seeing that you played tennis for two years and track for two years will make it great because you are very involved in school, maybe you should try and join both but if i were in you’re shoes and that wasn’t possible i would stick to tennis and get even better with 4 years experience.

well i wouldn’t say give up tennis especially if you are good at it! i would try running on your own to make sure you like it, after all its just running!

tennis is a great sport and not so many kids play it so if you are good you could prob get a scholarship.

last do what you like better because if you do a sport just for the benefits you will regret the decision you had made.

Regardless of consistency..just the fact that your participating in school activities and school sports would look good on your college transcripts…
