My daughter is a sophmore in high school and she is involved in band (a huge commitment around here), student council, key club, soccer, and basketball as well as having an active role in her church. She doesn’t get all A’s, but she is on the honor roll. She must sometimes forgo one for the other. She misses some things at her church because of band. She misses some meeting with key club because of student council. She does have great communication going with all the advisors and teachers so they know where she is and that it’s other involvements pulling her away from things. Everyone seems very supportive of her doing many things. When at home, she is doing homework. She does go out with friends and do other things with the family so she’s not someone with no social life either. I applaud her and her involvement. At her high school, they really encouraged the incoming freshmen last year to get involved and the school as a whole works to schedule things to not be a conflict. I say go for it and see what you can handle. A well organized, dedicated student can do very well with many different things going on. If it gets to be too much, then maybe you can opt to drop dance.
Good luck and enjoy high school. Those four years will be gone in a blink of an eye and you will wonder how it ever happened.

Pick one or two out of the four, but treat them as stress releasers from all the school work that you’ll be doing. Or how about, try getting into a club or an organization that would hone or develop your other talents? FGor instance, the school paper. Your writing skills wll be developed, you’ll again confidence as well, plus it will be a boost for college applications, not to mention all the essay writings you’ll have to do. Good luck!

My suggestion would be to check if there is a drama department you can get into. Getting involved in plays and musicals is a great way to dance, sing, help paint and build the sets, and also meets some cool people. Good luck to you!

If you can budget your time correctly, you could probably do it all and still get the “A’s” that you want. IF you don’t think you can handle it, drop a few of the activities, keep the ones that you really want to do. Whatever you do, keep up with your school work. That is the most important thing.

I admire your interests and enthusiasm but it sounds too much to me. Like the others are saying, pick out a couple, and try them this year. if you manage your time well then maybe you can pick up another one next year.
Remember your education is the most important. all the rest will follow.
Best of luck and have fun.

These activities you mention would require a lot
of homework to be proficient at them.
I would limit to just 2 of them. And excel at them.
Have fun in high school.
