You have two choices – stick with Spanish 3 and vow to do whatever it takes to raise your grade because you believe that doing that will guarantee you admission (will it really?).
Or, if there is some other course that you could substitute that you would enjoy and expect to do well with AND would enhance your chances for admission, you could switch to that.
I’m kind of in favor of sticking with the Spanish. If your other grades are A & B, one C won’t hurt your GPA all that much. Just don’t make settling for Cs a habit.
Keep it. Colleges notice consitancy as a strength. Do all 4 years of Spanish, and they will see you doing the same in college; this is symbolic of course. Just showing that you are consitant and you stay a course when you can just as easily give up.
I am a sophmore.
I asked myself something like what you were saying “I know colleges like when you do a language course all 4 years, but I hate it, should just do two years and drop the course”?
I decided to stay in the course. I know it will pay off.
When it is all said and done, even if you hated it…it will pay off and you will forget about how much you hated it.
You should ALSO STUDY!!! Get that grade up and it won’t kill your GPA!!! Try really hard and you will be pleased with the results.
