New School??? HELP!!!?
Favorite Answer
1) Don’t judge people before you know them. This is very important, because remember, you have just come to this school, and you have to give people a chance to get to know them.
2) Don’t be snobby. Smile, be nice, and look happy. More people will approach you with this attitude.
3) Don’t worry about making friends. I know that it sounds bad, but it’s true. Would you rather have good friends, or people that you would call friends, but don’t really like? Most of the time people fit in naturally, it just takes some time. Just remember to not judge people to early, and to be friendly and approachable. If you don’t have friends after a couple of months, don’t worry. Sometimes you can’t click with some people. But if you’re really easy to be friends with, you’ll have great success!!
4) THE GOLDEN RULE: Listen more and talk less. You don’t know anything about this school, or the people that go there, so observe it for the first couple of weeks or so. Get the hang of things. Don’t start criticizing the school or it’s people on the first day.
5) Be clean (goes with approachable). No matter how friendly a new kid might look, armpit sweat and stink won’t bring ANYONE to introduce themselves to you. But you don’t sound like you’d be that kind of person, so just make sure to look approachable.
Anyways, good luck!! It’s really tough on the first day, but don’t worry!! Even if you don’t have success on the first day, eventually you will!!
Just be yourself when you get to the new school. The worst thing you could do is try to be someone you think others may like better. Because sooner or later the real you will show.
And since you said you are a jolly person anyway, I don’t think you have anything to worry about 🙂
Good Luck!!
