My lab partner doesn’t do anything….?

For every lab that we’ve had so far, I’ve had to do EVERYTHING. He literally just stands there and watches me, and when I tell him to do something—he doesn’t do it unless it’s something simple like getting something, or throwing something away. Several people have told me to tell the teacher, but there’s really no way I can change lab partners because everyone else has a partner. And for some reason, I don’t want him to find out, and I don’t want to seem like I’m complaining or something. Should I really tell the teacher? how should I say it?

You must tell your teacher! Your lab partner does not deserve the credit and the only way to make sure he doesnt, is te report it. It’ll probably teach him a lesson and maybe he will try to help you in future labs. But for now, this is not fair to you and telling the teacher is the only thing that can give you credit for what you did.

I think everyone has had a lab partner that just sits there while you do all the work. I think you should tell the teacher because it isn’t fair especially if you get a good grade because then he gets the grade without actually doing something. You could go up to the teacher before class or after class and just tell her that he doesn’t do much. I think she would understand that you won’t want him to find out (mine did when I wanted to change seats), but just in case she doesn’t tell her that you don’t want him to know you are complaining. (If you don’t want to let her know personally, then write a letter–it usually works for me)

Just let the teacher know that for all of the labs, you have had to complete most of the work, and you believe that your partners grade should reflect the fact that they are not evenly contributing. Or else it is never going to stop.

Don’t Try This At Home
Just tell the teacher you feel your lab partner is not pulling his weight.

Yes, the teacher needs to be told.

I would say that you feel like you’re doing to much and you’re afraid he’s not learning anything. that way you aren’t complaining–it sounds like you want the best for your partner. The teacher will probably have him work a little harder then.

at the end of the lab, tell the teacher he didn’t do anything and that he shouldn’t get credit for what u did.

better then him gettin credit for doin nothing.

i hate lousy moochers.

if we have a class project, i sometiems jsut sit there cuz #1 i can’t draw

i usually just give ideas during class projects

if he doesn’t even do that then jsut tell the teacher he shouldn’t get credit for it
