I’m glad you’re feeling better. Just try to hit the ground running.
A really good idea would be to go to your school’s website to get the assignments you missed or call the school and have your assignments given to you today so you can do them over the weekend. It would help you get to where you need to be in order to feel more comfortable on Monday, since you’ll be doing the work before your first week starts.
Good luck, and I hope you have a great year!
2. don’t be too worried about being behind – most classes, even as a sophomore, don’t get started too deeply in the first week.
3. have a doctor’s note about you being sick
4. if you can, try to talk to the teachers before class (even if just a few minutes) to let them know what is going on. If you can talk to them more than just before class, you can discuss with them what their policy relating to making up missed work is.
5. find someone who appears to be doing well in each class and ask them to help you catch up.
A friend of mine missed the first week or so of her _senior_ year recently due to a family member who was dying. So these kinds of things happen to all sorts of people.
jsut be calm and act really nice, introduce yourself and then ask if you missed anything during your absence
i doubt you missed alot it was onyl the first week of school
good luck with everything though hope it all works out
when u thnk about it, if u were in the class since the start and someone new walks in to join the class how would u make them feel. u would talk to them and u would make them feel welcome wouldnt u.
it always seems worse when u are the other person, but trust me, no one will be thinkin about it like u are, so just go in, dont be nervous, and just talk to everyone, and after an hour or so u will be wondering what u were so nervous about
dont worry just relax the first days are usually spent in introduction getting to know students, teachers and the subjects.
not all students attend school as soon as it open, you will see there will be a few students like you. all you have to do is ask one or two of your class mates to help you catch up with the course, it will take 3-4days and you will be at the same class level.
Just tell your teachers and see if she can ask someone or you can ask someone to get notes from ( just photocopy them much faster then copying them)
Good luck …its not as bad as you think I did just fine
