Last year of HS, I have to take an economics class for one semester. Is there anyway to get rid of it?
Ridding an economics class, besides taking it at a JC.

I don’t know where your school is, or how many states apply with this rule, but I know that in New York (obviously because I live in NY), Economics is a required course in your senior year (the other half year being Government/P.I.G.)
Of course, at least at my school, there is also the option to choose between Economics (offered by the history department), AP Economics, or Business Economics (which is offered by the business department, is a bit easier than regular economics, but a bit more hands-on). No option not to take it, though.
If I were you, though, I wouldn’t get rid of economics. It may not be the most interesting subject to all people, but it can be very, very useful and can make you a smarter consumer.

I have the same problem. What a useless class. I’m planning on taking it online though because it makes things much easier. I live in Florida and we have the Florida Virtual School that’s tied in with all the public schools and you can do everything online and a teacher calls you on the phone every once in a while to check up on you. That’s how I got my PE credit. If you live in Florida it’s at flvs.net and if not then ask your guidance counselor if your state offers something similar.

Nope. And, depending upon your high school, you probably can’t take it at a JC either. Enjoy your senior year and spend it in class with your classmates – in Econ!

unlike some other subjects, i believe economics is required by all students to graduate (at least it is in new york). so get an A and get it over with 🙂

It’s actually not as bad as you think… heck you just might learn something that can help you in the future. Out of all my classes that one helped me more than stupid math or physics did.
