Is my junior year schedule going to be too hard to handle?

Im taking AP US History, AP Economics, AP Language and Composition, Precalculus Honors, Physics Honors, Finance, and Spanish 3. I had a 3.57 gpa last year in two honors classes but didnt try my best. This year im going for a 4.0 and I was wondering if this schedule was too hard and which class seems the hardest. Thanks

I am going to be a junior this year and I decided to start out with one AP course. I go to a DoD school, because my dad is in the military and we live in Portugal, so I have a limited choice of classes. AP US History takes up a lot of time reading and taking notes. If that is one of your strengths I would go for it. AP Language and Composition- most of the time the teacher will reuse material from the previous years to teach the new class. If someone has already taken the class, you can benefit from their help. A 4.0 is a hard thing to strive for when you’re enrolled in many AP classes. If you have the time and dedication, meaning you will not have much free time, it is possible. Spanish 3 will mostly be a review of Spanish 1 & 2. I can’t tell you much more about the other classes, as I don’t have a wide selection, but I would personally find AP History to be the most challenging. Memorizing dates and taking notes are just not my thing…

It kind of depends on what you’re good at.

Er, it seems really daunting. I just finished my sophomore year, and I always felt exhausted and I was only taking four advanced courses. Especially since you’re taking 3 AP courses, it could be a challenge. AP English and AP Calc would most likely impress colleges more than AP Psych, so if there’s a reg. psych class, I would think about it. I mean, if you want to be valedictorian or something, then this current schedule is fine, but you do have to probably sacrifice something. Well, if you do stick with this schedule, then really work hard, but don’t overdo it. Try for concise homework answers and if you pay attention in class, everything will go smoothly.

If you think you can handle your schedule then go for it!!! In my school, a lot of kids have schedules that look a lot like yours. They are all honors students and keep on top of things. It does look good on college applications though! I would hafta say the hardest class I see you have would be the Honors Precalc, but that’s only cuz I’m not that good at math. Good luck!!!
