Favorite Answer
Do:Be yourself and get involved in clubs and sports. This will make your high school years much more enjoyable and make it easier for you to meet new people and make friends.
Don’t:Give in to peer pressure. Never change who you are or do something you are not comfortable with to fit in.
Do your work- this will only help you develop good studying habits which you will really need your Junior and Senior years
Don’t give in to peer pressure and feel you have to dress the part or act the part because of others- just be yourself and love you for who you are
Don’t get into it with anyone. Turn the other cheek and go on your way.
and again never look like a lost sheep, look like you are confident and have somewhere to go. and again, don’t give in to peer pressure, you are going to surrond yourself with a whole bunch of new people, so don’t let the wrong ones influence you.
and lastly, and personally from me,
good luck!!!!!!! you’ll survive!!!!!!
Do – look like you -know- where you’re going. This will keep bullies off your back and help you avoid getting trashcanned.
Do – keep everything valuable AT HOME. I got a lot of stuff stolen when i was a freshman.
Don’t – rely on teachers to constantly be paying attention to his/her surroundings. If someone does something mean to you, ignore it unless it’s something of value to you or you are in danger; even then, you should GO TELL the teacher instead of waiting for him/her to notice.
Don’t – act as if you know everything. this will attract unwanted attention.
have fun in highschool! it’ll be a great ride. ^_^
