If you were a school teacher, and a fight happened in the hall, class, or outside what would you do?

I agree with bookish. It really depends upon the circumstances. I’ve broken up elementary students, but I called another teacher (the football coach) when a fight broke up between two very large high school senior boys in PE class. Of course, we then called the SRO and the boys were written up.
While you need to do your best to keep other students safe, there are times when you can’t stop something on your own and it’s best to get the others out of the way and call for help in breaking up the fight.

It depends on the age and size of the students. I’ve stood between angry elementary kids, some of them pretty big. In a secondary school, I’d verbally tell them to stop and then get either security or a large teacher to help break it up. Then, of course, I’m going to write them up and make sure they get detention or a suspension. It’s not fair to the other students to allow such behavior to take place. They deserve a safe school environment.
