Sally takes 240 minutes.
John takes 640 minutes.
sooo…
240 + 640 = 880
now you divide by two because the time that john lacks, sally makes up for.
880 divided by 2 is 440 minutes.
i hope this is right.
its kinda like finding the average.
i think.
im only in PRE-algebra so i dont do soo great but can someone tell me if this is right or not?
if it is i will be veryy proud… 😀

OK, in 6 hours the two together will paint 2 and a half houses–that Sally is a whiz.
So: 2.5 x = 6
x = 6 divided by 2.5
x = 2 hours, 24 minutes.
