need help! 10 point right answer =]?

1. find the equation of the line with the slope -5 and y-intercept 2.

2. find the slope-intercept form of the line passing through the point (-.6) and the parallel to the line y=4x+2

1. y= -5x+2 Slope intercept formula: y=Mx+b. M= slope b=y intercept. you just plug the numbers in.

2. y= 4x+22 First i plotted the point (-4,6). Then I already new the slope was 4 since it is parrallel to the other line. So i went up 4, over to the right 1. I kept repeating the process until it crossed the y axis.

I don’t know if the point in #2 is written correctly.

parallel to y = 4x + 2 means the slope is 4

so y = 4x + b; if I had the point I would plug in x and y into this equation and solve for b.
