Her age doesn’t matter – she’s already done the schooling and the college needed to qualify to become a teacher.

Think of school as a job – of course you can be punished for not doing work – if it was a job you’d be sacked regardless of the age of your boss.

Plus you’ve a problem with your spelling and grammar – maybe you should go and ask her for help.

If you end your studying, how does that benefit you?

It would be much better to recognize that in life there are authority systems in place for the good of society. There are managers and bosses and schools and police, etc. Even if you were the President of the United States, there are other people you are accountable to. The school system hired her… and one of her jobs is to keep order in the classroom and give realistic consequences for inadequate performance.

Whether you like your teacher or boss or parents or not, they are there to help you reach your best potential. You can learn from them and mature, or you can learn the hard way that life isn’t Burger King and you can’t always have it your way.

A teacher is only for a season (unless you quit– and then it is longer and pays much less).

At age 18 you are still learning. A teacher who has the education, has every right to correct your classwork and behavior. Sorry, but there will always be people who tell you what to do, and age is not a factor. I am a year older than my new boss and we went to high school together, but I will do what I am told because he is my boss.

Of course you can be punished for not doing your work or acting up in class. Her age doesn’t matter – she is your teacher. Get your act together and get your education. If you don’t understand the work and don’t want to ask her for help then get a tutor.

You should be doing your work…your teacher is still 7 years older than you and she has the education that by far passes yours so you should get over it because she is your teacher and can punish you for not doing your work

She isn’t nearly your age. She is obviously a college graduate with a lot more culture and education than you have. You could learn a lot from her.
