I hate my algebra teacher?

I do my best to try and maintain an A in all my classes even if I’m not the smartest person and definately lack common sense. The first time I walked into her room I could tell she was an absolute *****, so I kept my mouth shut and got all my homework done on time. Anyway one time I’m late because the previous class ran slow, and she didn’t say anything. I walk by after school and she yells at me to stay after school for 30 minutes because of it. I say Okay.. and go in. The next time I do my assignment and check it all over with all the work on paper, and I get a 100% according to the computer. She then lowers this grade to a 64% (this was a 25 question assignment) because I didn’t show my work for a ******* reciprocal and a number line, then I have to correct ALL of them showing a bizzare amount of work and I get an extra assignment just as long. How should I deal with this close-minded money craving *****?

Discuss it with your couselor. MAybe it would be possible to take the class with a different instructor or another class entirely that would give you the credits you need. Explain to your couselor that really have a problem with your teacher and you can’t really focus on the work and learning the material because you are so busy focusing on little things just to keep her quiet. And just a tip, when you are talking to your counselor, DO NOT refer to your teacher as “the money hungry *****”.

You can just be patient & suffer. That will, at least, not make things worse.

You can talk to the VP about the teacher, in a confidential talk. Ask if the VP has “advice” for you on how to get along with the teacher–that makes it sound like you are not whining or blaming, but are trying to get along. Maybe you’ll find out the teacher does this stuff with everyone, all boys, all kids from one area of town, etc.

Otherwise, meditate & pray, talk to your friends & family & complain, so you’ll feel better!

Try talking to her about it or show her that you know how to do the work. Or ask your parents to talk to her about it. If that fails, talk to you guidance counselor to see if they can do anything about and if that also fails try to get transferred to another algebra class that doesn’t have such a mean teacher. I hope everything works out!

Talk to her, not in front of the class. If it fails, tell your parents.

ignore her – if that’s possible.

or actually, have your parents meet with her and go with them and point out what she’s doing wrong.

i know how that feels, but a long and painful meeting with my math teacher got me better grades.

>.< i wish you the best of luck, i hate teachers like that - they need to grow up.

I think you should just punch her in the face.
