How do I make more out-of-school friends?
I go to school outside of my neighbourhood, but it’d be really nice to make friends with the people near my area, so I don’t have to get a ride…

If there are any clubs, sporting events or jobs that are in your neighborhood you could check them out. Is there is a particular sport or game that you enjoy? Go to a ball game. Walk to your local park, is anybody playing a sport? Ask if you can watch or join in. Is there a roller or ice skating rink in your area? Skate! There’s a ga…zillion kids (of all ages) at the roller rink where we go every Wednesday night.
Is your library nearby? The kids (teens) in our neighborhood hang out at the library a lot.
Volunteer! Not knowing your community situation I’m at a loss for what might be best areas to try. You might try habitat for humanity or the local shelter, many kids with a strong social conscious like to be involved in this way.
Is there a local community pool? Go swimming!
Number one idea….leave the house…..and have fun!
