Spiralling curriculum has to do with presenting the same , or similar, material in subsequent educational terms/years. It provides students with a refresher each time the material is presented. To reinforce English grammar and usage, get into discussions about literature or other writing. Maybe have a discussion about a news article. This provides a chance for reading and speaking English. Also, practice writing a letter to the editor about a particular Op-Ed article. Always show the effectiveness of proper English grammar in real-world situations.
You might want to practice writing a letter to a member of congress about a serious local issue or a complaint/praise letter to a corporation that manufactures a product you have used.
