I would suggest starting with some teaching videos designed for small children. An older Serbian woman I know learned English very quickly by watching teaching videos and Sesame Street.

Then, graduate to English teaching videos/CDs/tapes designed for adults.

You can probably most of what you need for free at your local library.

Hey… cool … and good for you.

You might want to look into a program called Rosetta Stone. They use a natural approach to learning a new language. With all the English as a Second Language needs, I’m sure they have something that would help. We use it to learn Spanish and it is good.

A little pricey though.

You probably need to find a class for english as a second language. There should be some community resourses to help you.

i would use some everyday words that you both use each day. work with one word at a time, say it, prounce the word and go on to more words. this is the easiest way for her to learn, and she knows the meaning of the russian word so she will know the english meaning also… try one word a day.. have fun with it and she will also

Well, do not speak so much approximately your self to your date. Ask her how she’s doing.. what she likes after which insert a few matters like “yeah, i had a equivalent enjoy too.. blah blah” however ask her a few stuff once you finish speakme. inform her the reality too that youre now not a satisfactory conversationalist. women dont brain that.
