Do students do better in high school or college?

i didnt do all that well in high school i have like an 86 GPA which is ok but not great especially because i want to go to pharmacy school. if i really worked hard would i do any better? i tried hard in high school and all got was an 86.

am i really doomed to have a lower GPA in college because its harder?

im not great in math so that brought my GPA down and i know pharmacy has a lot of math involved. but i love chemistry and biology.

If you really did try extremly hard and still didn’t do well then it dosnt really look good for college. But, college is totally differnt. College is more about balancing free time..which you sometimes have a little to much of. So, if you are prepared to devote a ton of free time to studying so tha you can pull out good grades in math…then you might be okay. Otherwise, you will ahve some problems. Also, it will depend on where you go to school. I go to a small college of about 1000 kids and took calculus my freshman year, and because my class size was so small I was able to get a lot of individual attention and pass the class. I have a lot of friends that go to big universites that I know are a lot better in math and I am and they fail out of calculus because their math classes are taught completly online….so thats something to think about also

If you are motivated to work hard, you will do fine in college. It’s a totally different atmosphere than high school, especially if you pick a college that fits your needs. So lose the thought that your doomed – erase it from your mind completely. Find a college with a good pharmacy program, work hard, and you’ll make it!

If it makes you feel better, in high school the first year I had a GPA of 2.7… second year not much better, I ended up with a cumulative of 3.3 when I graduated. Now that I’m in college I have a 3.96 cumulative, but my college is harder than my old high school. How can this be? I’m studying what I want to. If you’re studying what you love, you’re almost guaranteed to do much better. In high school I had to study things like history and English, but now I can study math and economics and it’s great.

relies upon on the school you pass to. some colleges are crammed with the highschool scholars that only prefer to play around for yet another 4 years. different colleges are crammed with an exceedingly distinctive, exciting team of folk. In my journey, college scholars are commonly extra useful because of the fact they’re paying for his or her training. that has a tendency to make human beings extra serious than extreme college scholars approximately training.

As long as a student is well prepared, he/she will do well in high school and in college. The courses must be dealt with seriously. Proper time for study and research, along with typing of materials, is required. If snags appear, then a student should seek “appropriate tutors” to address those needs. My personal advice is to try and determine WHAT SUBJECTS you will have, then study for those subjects way “ahead of time.” Thus, you will be more than prepared, and you will get a “higher than average grade.” Thus, your grade point average, will reflect that fortitude. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, WHO can be against us? – Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. – Psalm 68:19. I wish you well. Peace, Love and God Bless.

I’ve heard that college is different from high school–your surrounds and atmosphere are different. I’ve heard that in college the subjects are actually very interesting and so you go to class because you WANT to, not because your forced to, whereas in high school you’re pretty much forced to go to class. And I’ve heard that it’s easier to be gain motivation in college.
