Definitely in school. Actually, I’m supposed to be writing a paper on this very subject right now…..*procrastination*….. I think that school can teach you skills that you would expect to learn from it (math, reading, music, art, etc) but also some things you don’t expect. For example you learn teamwork, patience, fairness, and many other skills which will help you in life.

Now, this isn’t to say that I agree with how schools educate kids, that’s an entirely different matter, but as it stands now, there is a lot to gain if you’re willing to work for it.

You need the formal education of school. IF you pay attention, and make the effort to put what you learn into daily practice then you will be better off in life. Trying to replace formal education with learning on your own is fraught with more pit falls than you would care to endure. Life is to complex to try to learn what you need on your own. You’ll find out that even with the best formal education, and the most studious attention to it, along with looking for anything that you encounter to apply what you have taught against it, you’ll find that you still manage to make more mistakes than you care to admit. Young lady, I’m 55, take some advise, stay in school, and get a good education. You are no match, regardless of your best beliefs, for life without a good formal education.

it depends on what you’re learning…if you mean functions like f(x) = 3x^2 – 2x / 8i then yeah, you would learn A LOT more through school….on your own, i think that one learns more about personal development, because we need to make our own mistakes in order to learn from them, right? i mean, school can teach us so many great things that cant be taught at home, but individuals learn different things better by themself and experiencing life than by studying a textbook. (overall it depends on what you’re interested in)

umm. i would think home schooling is alittle bit better( if your teacher is good and has a teaching degree) because you are not pressure or embarras to answer the question even though your friends may think it will be stupid. get to share your ideas. but again school is fun with friends.
