Also what did you mean by popular? Stereotypically, if you mean popular in the prep division then it’s the usual quirky, cheerful, happy girl in the group. If you mean popular in an infamous manner, maybe the girl that had an abortion two weeks ago and smokes.

It’s how one carries themself. No matter how small, tall, fat, skinny you are it all depends on how well you communicate with everyone. The popularity that I’m mostly aware of is the one that’s really well-liked by a lot. It’s usually the funniest, most outgoing, spicy one. No matter how ugly he or she is, usually it’s their personality that overshines their appearance almost making them seem like an angel. Also a person who people can go to when they need a shoulder to lean on or an ear to hear – the rock of the group. We don’t want some dull, slow person whom we don’t understand and who won’t even attempt to communicate with the others. It gets tiring y’know? We want someone who will keep the mood going. Personality really does bite 🙂

One last thing: debate skills. If you can learn to work a conversation well, you will win most battles. A chat, a hallway comment, an email, a question in class. At worst, this will make ‘popular’ girls respect you.
