Growing up is tough.

Your body will say what your mouth is not safe enough to say. Sometimes tummy aches are not signs of sickness, but a way your body says, I’m overwhelmed, scared, or frustrated. Listen carefully to your inner voice and talk to a trusted grown-up to help you get help. Remember to use kind words to help others understand and help you.

Adults get bossy as a way to keep you safe. Listen to them do what they say, then ask questions. Asking questions first causes problems.

Take a deep breath, then say OK. Sometimes trying new things is cool.

Everyone has a job or works.Going to preschool is your special job. At school you will learn how to read and write, and how to be and have good friends.

Everyone has bad moments (even days). Effort after failure builds self esteem (and you need plenty of this).

Know you are loved, very special, and have an important work to do in this world.

i find this a little odd. i mean, havent you ever given out sincere compliments or words of encouragement to anyone, not even a friend? it basically is about the same. it goes along the lines of..

“you can do it.”

“well done. excellent job. now, let’s work on…”

“wow! that was great! i knew you could do it!”

“you’re such a great helper in class!”

be creative. and honest. 🙂
