what’s is your point of view about Early Childhood education Teachers. I am asking that because our children are our next generation and is sad to see that people offer pay the mininu wage for this jobs, is it some organization to help teachers or babysitters like many people said, to get better pay and benefits.

The NAEYC does attempt to keep everyone informed of the importance of quality care and education for the youngest members of society. They also have a lot of high quality resources available for educators. You can find out more about them at http://www.naeyc.org/
I try to maintain an annual membership with them, although on an ECE salary, sometimes that’s difficult!

I’ve taught a variety of ages of children and I think that it is just as hard to teach preschool as it is teaching middle school. Pay should be comparable with that of other types teachers. I went into pk thinking that since I’m getting paid so much less it would be easier… hahahaha
I do what I do for the children.

I totally agree. It is just as hard, if not harder in some cases to teach preschool. I don’t know where you are, but here in California they tried to pass Preschool for All, but it failed. Part of the legislation would have made preschool teachers get paid the same as kindergarten teachers. Too bad it failed. There are some private preschools that pay well out there. I know becasue I just quit my old school to work at one. But they are hard to find!

Yes it shows the backwardness of our society and the true priorities of our culture when athletes and entertainers who contribution to society is primarily entertainment get paid millions and millions of dollars and those who are responsible for our future through providing for the education an safety of our children are paid very poorly. As long as our values are so backwards children will suffer.
