Constructive play or plain playing for kids .?

Which do you prefer? I think both are important but I think plain playing is a little more important because it encourages children to be more social and creative by inventing new games up while Constructive play you are supposed to do what a person says and follow there rules and is some times not very interesting to people therefore discouraging them to do it.

It really depends on the child. Some kids really need stucture to help them learn to interact successfully. For those sorts of kids unstructured play can be a minefield of hurt and confusion. Others benefit best from unstructured play and structure is too restrictive.

Sturctured play doesn’t have to be completely controlled. Adults can offer a framework that allows a large measure of freedom and individuality of play. For example; I set up an obstacle course for my kids, provided instructions and timed them as they ran around it. Once they got the idea they then started making up their own obstacles and adjusted the ones I provided and even started working on ways to time themselves without a watch. Hence structured play helped them be creative.

I agree plain playing lets kids use their imagination and this could be a good thing because it lets them express them selves. I have three nieces and they plain play all the time they have learned a lot from each other by doing this.

i imagine this is going to reduce down using the park to the point the position they are going to experience waiting to promote it off for progression. Wandsworth council have deliberately handed over the actual incontrovertible truth that children make short visits to a park, perchance going 3 or 4 circumstances an afternoon if this is a non-college day. they’re stressful £2.50 a visit. What if the youngsters want to apply the bathing room, or nip residing house to get a football or something to eat? this is a planned ploy to quit human beings utilizing the park. the three of my children who’re the right age to visit our community park pass possibly ten circumstances per week each. it is 10 x 3 x £2.50 = £seventy 5 per week!
