2) a burnt child dreads fire

2. If something bad has happened to you once, you’ll hesitate or be afraid/cautious when in that situation again.
3. It’s wasted energy to worry and be upset over a situation — you should use the energy for fixing the problem.
If this is for classwork or homework — good luck! Sounds like an interesting class.
Taking care of your heart all you life by eating right and exercising instead of waiting until you have destroyed you arteries and have a heart attack to then worry about curing it. Also driving carefully, and being aware so that you prevent accidents from ever happening instead of driving recklessly and waiting until something serious happens before you
consider changing the way you drive etc….
2.)Basically it just means that a person learns from their experiences, especially if they are bad ones. If you get burnt by fire you will be much more cautious the next time around.
3.) It makes no sense to cry over something that is now lost and can not be regained. The “milk” is now useless so to continue to cry over it is causing more suffering than if you simply picked up and moved on.
