Why is no one doing anything about males falling behind in education?
Favorite Answer
Females can be taught in large chunks because they have a longer attention span than males. If teachers of males make the lessons interesting and in suitable chunks for the time your average male is prepared to be spellbound by this amazing information, they would never get behind. They would be intersted and learn. What goes in as interesting, stays in!
As for pre-college education, even a rudimentary google search turns up tons of news articles on this “widening gap,” with researchers scrambling to figure out what’s going on and what we can do to stop it.
How is that “no one doing anything to help men and boys”?
Maybe you should join some local feminist groups to see what you can do to help the situation. Good luck!
I personally think it’s the use of electronics such as cell phones, Ipods, texting, and so on that is luring all kids concentration away from a good education.
In my day, we didn’t have a calculator to use in class. It was called “2 + 2 = 4” and all done in the head.
“The Boys’ Education Lighthouse Schools (BELS) programme was a school-based approach to developing and testing the effectiveness of strategies for improving learning outcomes for boys.”
my old high-school is involved in this programme, (St Andrews College, Marayong, for those who have girls and boys who need a good High-school, it got me into University!)
you should petition your local government or the school boards if your that worried however…
