I think its harder because the “rules” of the first language/native language interferes with the rules of the second language. These rules can include syntax, morphological markers, conjugation of tenses, accent and syllabification.

You are probably so used to your current language that a new language can confuse you. I know because I’m studying 3 different languages (English, Vietnaese, and French) and I’m only 14. Also, your memory tends to fade. Languages are also very similar. Example: French and Latin or French and Spanish use the same words with different meanings.

yes if you are older you are learn more slower than baby or kids.reason was baby or kid they easily adapt or absorb languages,cvaused they are young .if you are adult ,you don’t feel so comfort with the languages
